Erin was awarded the Captain Planet Foundation Protector of the Earth Award at a Gala event in Atlanta on Friday evening.
Each year the Captain Planet Foundation honor outstanding real life, environmental super heroes. The Awards, since 2009 have acknowledged the work of numerous leading environmentalists, including Sir Richard Branson, President Jimmy Carter and Dr. Sylvia Earle.
This year, Erin was joined by Dr David Suzuki, Dr Tara Cullis, Tom Szaky and Charles Orgbon III.
